YellowStone National Park and eternal life

When most people think about Yellowstone National Park they think of Yogi Bear. What a lot of people do not realize is that Yellowstone National Park is one of the largest active supervolcanos in the world and has a nickname of "the beast". I read an article on how Yellowstone is capable of exploding as a super-volcano that would destroy life for hundreds of miles around and coat the entire country in ash. Some people say that ash will clutter the skies over the whole earth, while others claim that the ash will be so thick over the United States that we would all freeze to death because the sun would not be able to penetrate through the ask for months.

So why do I bring this up today? Everyone keeps asking me about how I feel to be 30. Basically, we all will live on this earth a very short and limited time and what we do here is only a mere reflection of our eternal lives. It is fair to say that we all will live an eternal life, the question is which have you chosen??

Here is a poem written by Mary Baker:

Eternal Life
I believe that we can live forever
which means eternal life,
When we die, and go to paradise
we will never again have strife.
There will be no pain, and sorrow
no darkness, and no night,
We will all be warm, and happy
In the everlasting light.
No one has ever seen, or heard
the joys, we will receive,
When the Lord, comes back to get us
If in Him, we all believe.
I think the Lord, will be waiting
in his robes of snowy white,
With His Hands, stretched out to greet us
for we are precious, in His sight.
We will once again, see loved ones
and see the Lord face, to face
And we will all live together,
In peace and Heavenly grace.
Don't just say that you believe, Live like you believe !!
God Bless you all

Happy 30th to me -- Good or Bad ??

It has been a little while since I have posted. More like it took me that long to recooperate from the father's day outing that I spoke of in an earlier post. Just a quick update on the boat, I finally got the right prop and have actually spent some pleasant time out on the lake. The boat goes to the shop next weekend to get some additions added to it ( hydro steering, keel proctector, h2o and volt gauges, boat cover). Hope to have it back soon after......

Well today I have hit a major milestone in my life -- The big 3-0. While most people seem to doom and gloom over this milestone, I have no regrets after all what is my alternative. I have reflected on my life and where I am today. All I can say is that God has truly blessed me with a very loving and fun family that most people don't find in a life time.

Since I last wrote, my family has taken a vacation to Gatlinburg and once again we were not disappointed. There is soo much fun stuff to do there, however, I must warn my fellow mates about tubing down the little pigeon. Lets just say that I would not recommend it for a 5 and 7 year old even ( or even a 30 yr fat man like me ) though the people at River Rats said that it should not be a problem. (That is all I am saying - It was fun though, well besides the time I fell out of my tube and rolled all the way down the rapids) While we were on vacation, I got to go to my favorite spot called Cades Cove. Garrett and I got to see a bear very close up and I got some pics (i will try and post later) of some huge deer close by.

Anyways, Amy and I had fun at softball the other night even though neither one of us could move afterwards. I guess you start feeling it worse at 30 8-)

Birthday phrase of the day: (someone gave me a card that said this)

"You are not getting older..... You are getting more interesting to the medical profession"

For some reason this seems to fit.

God Bless,
