First Look at House

It has been a long time coming, but the house is showing progress. I told you that if you check back to my blogger page you will get a benefit that some of the others would not. You are the first to get a glipse of the new house. Below is the first stages of the house, but I have to tell you that the picture does not do it justice. You will understand when you see it in person. The house is moving along rather quickly now and it won't be long until we have a roof with shingles. The weather has not been nice to us but the last couple of weeks has really helped things. All in All we are past the worst part of building a house and we are now entering the fun stages of picking out everything that we want to throw into the house. The estimated completion date is the end of July and I just pray we can hit it. Although, We would not be surprised if it went into August.

One Win From National Championship, One Loss From Greatness

The saying, "One Win From National Championship, One Loss From Greatness" sums up the Memphis Tigers this season. If you were pulling for Memphis Tigers in the National Championship because you are a big fan or you just wanted your "Ashley" furniture free you must have the sick feeling in your stomach. With 2.1 seconds left on the clock the game was tied with a desperate (but good shot) 3. While the game should have never come down to this, many people did not think Memphis Tigers would make it this far. So all I have to say to the Memphis Tigers is to keep your head up and be proud, because you have made all of us proud (although, some with large furniture bills (Glad I did not buy furniture ))

Well it is time for me to brag on my boys. I have to say that I don't do it much and if you don't like it, you don't have to read it below (haha)

Well on to other greatness, Blake had his first baseball game last night. Blake is playing short-stop for his 5-6 year old team and batting clean up. Blake got to bat 4 times last night and hit a single, double, and 2 homeruns. The score was 16 - 0 and the game was cut short due to the run limit. Blake will play again tonight at 7:30 and as always he is looking forward to it.

Garrett's team from last year decided to go competitive and it did not make sense for Garrett to play competitive for 1 year and then pull him off the team because we are moving. For this reason he decided to play for Snowden. I will be coaching his team so you better watch out.

Although, I will have to say that both Garrett and Blake were offered positions on the world famous Memphis Travelers team this year, but due to the circumstances of moving and the location of the team we declined. We thought about having them try out next year for the team, but it all depends on how the move goes and how far they will be traveling. I don't want to burn them out at a young age.

OKay -- enough bragging.

If you want an update on the house, all I can sy is that it is under construction !! Sorry - better update later
