The BOMB has gone off in the backyard

A lot of you have been asking so here is the final answer about the pool. We have decided to move forward with the pool so that we don't have to contend with our yard getting destroyed once we move in. As we move closer to having a completed home, they have started on the pool building process. The pool company started digging last week and I was amazed at the dirt they have taken out of the ground. Of course, we loved our last pool so much we decided to go back with the same pool layout.

As hot as it is going to be this week, I can't wait for this thing to be completed. I think Amy and boys might go swimming before the rest of the house is complete !!.. I hope everything comes together nicely as it is hard to actually visualize the house and things completed until it is complete.

Fun In The Sun

Now that baseball season is over with and we have time to actually do some things on the weekend, Amy and I thought it would be a good time to enjoy the lake. Our initial thoughts were to go to Sardis or Enid, but our builder said he was going to Arkabutla so we thought we might give it a chance. The last Amy and I remember of Arkabutla is that it was too shallow and the water looked awful. How times change, Arkabulta is definetly full of water and besides it being a little dingy, it is not bad. Not to mention there was not many boats on the water to contend with.

I do have to give my props off to little Mrs. Amy. She's never been really secure around large bodies of water, but she did a good job riding the tube. I was suprised that she was able to hold on and not fall off today.. not that I was trying to throw her off the tube or anything ** wink, wink **

I did buy a new tube last weekend called the Mach III which can ride 1,2, or 3 people. It was a pretty fun tube and can definetly make for some interesting rides. I have to say that I will be very sore tomorrow from this and will probably feel a lot older than what I really am.

House Update !!

For those of you who are interested in our adventure of building a house, I want to give you an update. First off, Amy and I are still married and everything seems to be going as smooth as it can. We do have those days were we want to .... lets just say days were we should not be around each other, but that is expected.

The brick and sheetrock was started last week and both should be completed by Monday, so this means we are getting very close. By the middle of this week we should be ready to hook the house up with permanent electricity which means that the pool builders can begin digging the hole.

I am going to talk to the builder tomorrow to see about how long he thinks it will be before we move in. My best guess, he will probably say 6 weeks, although, hopefully he will suprise me and say earlier. Amy has been working very hard finalyzing tile, wood floors, lights, paint colors, and all the fun things you have to do when building a house. I stress the word fun, because sometimes I think she has had all she can stand.. I am glad she is doing this part.

Southaven Central Takes 3rd Place at State Tournament

Ball Season for us has finally come to an end. Blake played in the State Tournament last weekend and walked away with 3rd place. The teams that won 1st and 2nd were competitive teams, so we like to say that we are 1st place rec all-star team in the State. The road was hard and very tough, but the boys fought it out all the way through. The first team that we played was the defending State Champs from last year which was the Clinton, MS competitive team. Unfortunetly, we lost this game and had to move to the losers bracket. Since this was a double elimination tournament we could not lose another game. Our team went on to beat Horn Lake, Batesville, Senatobia, and Southaven American before losing again to Clinton, MS in the semi-final game.

The final Standings in the tournment were:
1st place: Southaven Nationals (competitive team)
2nd place: Clinton, MS (competitive team and defending champs)
3rd place: Southaven Central (Blake's Team)
4th place: Southaven American

Needless to say, I think Southaven did a great job representing in the tournament. Good luck to the Southaven Nationals in the World Series and hope they bring home the trophy.

Twins are definetly in the family (Exclusive to my blog readers)

Guess What !! Yep, you (my blog readers) are the first to find out that twins definetly runs in the family. Everyone has warned Amy and I that twins are in the family and we have just found out first hand that this is definetly true. Although, they say that twins will jump a generation, I was surprised and shocked to hear the news that twins were on the horizon.



The question is what should we name them. The boys already have their nicknames for them and let me tell you, they are pretty funny. (and no we will not name them honz and fronz) I don't really know what to expect from the boys sometimes, but they are glad that they are both of the male gender. Yep, they are both males and at this point look to be identical but we won't be able to tell this for sure until they grow up a little.

Okay, this may not be what you expected, but aren't they cute. In all the years that Mr. Boone has raised cows, he has never had twins. As Amy put it, " not only does dad have 14 people living in the house with him, now his cows are having multiples"
