Been a while

So much for trying to stay on task with a daily log. Actually, there is not much that has been going on around here; just the same ole stuff.

For some reason, I took on the job of coaching indoor soccer this winter. Garrett and Blake play on the same team and we play 8 on 8. I guess the best way I can describe this is that indoor soccer is a lot lot hockey because there is not out of bounds and you can check in the walls. Makes for an interesting game. Last night we played our first game and did excellent. We won 7 to 4 and only had 8 players present. This means that the team had to play 2 20 minute quarters with only a 5 minute rest in between and I am talking about running up and down a full size soccer field. They were absolutely wore out, but keep asking when the next game is.

My 3 favorite holidays are right around the corner. Thanksgiving, Christmas and hunting season. It does not get any better than this. Hunting season opens next weekend so this weekend, I will be shooting some guns and getting ready for the longest holiday season of the year.
